Nathan Wilder, MS, ATC, CSCS
Exercise Physiologist/Personal Trainer
M.S., Physical Education/Athletic Training,
Ohio University

Nathan brings 10 years of experience specializing in injury prevention, strength training, sports specific functional training and rehabilitation of physically active individuals to the Wellness Center. He serves on the faculty at Waynesburg College in the Athletic Training Department, and is the Head Athletic Trainer for 17 varsity sports at the college.  In addition, he has served as an athletic trainer with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Sports Medicine Center, the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Southern Connecticut State University.

A graduate of Waynesburg College, Nathan earned his master’s degree in physical education/athletic training from Ohio University. He is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

At the Wellness Center, Wilder will focus on helping physically active individuals of all ages improve performance plus overall health and fitness, as well as do follow-up rehabilitation training with people recovering from injuries. “I have a rehabilitation and physical therapy background so I bring a different expertise than someone from an exercise physiology background,” he explains.

Nathan’s fitness philosophy:
“I follow a total body philosophy, which is very dynamic in nature and involves working multi-joint and multi-muscle groups at one time rather than in isolation.”
