Karen Lind, BS, NASM-CPT
Exercise Physiologist/Personal Trainer
B.S., Exercise Science & Rehab, Lock Haven University

A graduate of Lock Haven University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and rehab, Karen comes to the Wellness Center after 16 years of working primarily in rehabilitation centers and running exercise programs for physician’s practices. Her passion is children, and she’s looking forward to getting involved in fitness programming targeted to their needs.

A certified personal trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, she provides personal training with young people who are in middle school or older.  She also offers one-on-one choreography, dance and cheerleading coaching with kids from third grade through high school.

“With the obesity problem among kids, I believe it’s important to help them incorporate exercise and good nutrition into their lives as soon as possible,” Karen says.

In addition to working with the younger set, Karen particularly enjoys helping people of any age who are just beginning to exercise, or are focused on recovering from an injury, surgery or other challenge.

Karen’s fitness philosophy:
“Move 30 minutes a day, whether you’re doing cardio, strength training or flexibility exercises. Half the battle is getting started. Once you get started, you’re golden. And,
make sure you stretch before and after you exercise. Everybody forgets, and then they wonder why they’re more sore than they have to be."
